Click Click Boom is a product of Studio Four Sixty. This policy explains how Studio Four Sixty ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information collected through the Click Click Boom website at www.clickboom.co.za. We are committed to protecting your personal information and to processing it lawfully in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

We use Google Analytics on this website. When you visit, Google Analytics collects technical and behavioural information about your visit, including:

Our lawful basis for processing under POPIA is one or more of the following: your consent, the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business.

You are not obliged to give us your personal information. If you choose not to complete a form, we will simply not be able to respond to you.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device that helps a website remember your visit.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Where an operator processes personal information on our behalf, we require them to keep it confidential and to apply appropriate security safeguards.

6. Transfers outside South Africa

Some of our service providers, including Google, store and process information on servers located outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient is subject to laws, binding corporate rules or a binding agreement that provide a level of protection substantially similar to POPIA, as required by section 72 of the Act.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep the information you submit through our forms for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected for, and thereafter for as long as we are required to keep it by law. Enquiry records are generally kept for 1 month, after which they are deleted or de-identified.

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, which is currently14 months / 26 months

8. How we protect your information

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, damage, unauthorised access and unlawful processing. These include secure hosting, access controls, encrypted connections and limiting access to the people who need it.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we have reasonable grounds to believe that your personal information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by section 22 of POPIA.

9. Direct marketing

We will only send you marketing communications if you have asked us to, or if you are an existing customer and the communication relates to similar services. Every marketing message we send will include a way to unsubscribe. You can also opt out at any time by emailing us at hi@clickboom.co.za

10. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it
Ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate, misleading or out of date
Ask us to delete or destroy information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep
Object to the processing of your personal information on reasonable grounds
Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before you withdrew it
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hi@clickboom.co.za. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act on your request. Access requests are handled in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA) and a prescribed fee may apply.

12. Children

Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before submitting any personal information to them.
